My plan initially: Go to the Panmen Scenic Area (since it was only 5 minutes away from the hotel), then walk to the Ancient Grand Canal and take a boat, then walk to the Master of Nets Garden (a mini version of Humble Administrator's Garden), and finally grab my stuff and head to Shantang Street since I remember passing by it on the metro.

Here is what I ended up doing:

First Stop: Panmen Scenic Area

I checked out early and got breakfast nearby before heading over to the Panmen Scenic Area since it was very close by. It was a really nice and tranquil area since there weren't that many tourists though there were one or two tour groups around. There was enough space for me to find a place where I can sit down and listen to the tranquility around me.

After enjoying the scenery in Panmen, I walked towards the Ancient Grand Canal. I really wanted to take the boat but I need at least six people and unfortunately for me, the weather was foggy so it would have been hard to wait for 5 other people.

Next Stop: Master of Nets Garden

So, next stop was the Master of Nets Garden. I am so glad I came here because like Panmen, it didn't have that many tourists an it gave my the personal space I wanted. I even sat down and enjoyed a cup of jasmine tea as I watched the scenery from the window.

Last Stop: Shantang Street

I walked back to the hotel and grabbed my stuff and headed to the last stop: Shantang Street. This place was definitely much more lively than the other two places I went to earlier which balances out my day. I ate a small meal and bought some cute crafts as I strolled along the street.Once I reached the end of the street, I went into a cafe and realized it is a letter cafe. That means people can write letters and postcards to people and the cafe will help you send it off. I ordered a Thai Iced Tea and wrote a letter to myself to be sent to me in a month. I sat there and chilled until it was time to go.
