airplane food — Cathay Pacific food: Abalone congee for breakfast, not bad at all

I've arrived yesterday at about 12 pm at Pudong International Airport. Realizing that I would have to wait 3 long hours before the program pick-up window, I decided to catch a taxi and move-in a bit earlier.

My room is actually quite big with a personal bathroom --- how nice! :)

The group met up in the lobby at 6:30 pm and walked to a restaurant about 10 minutes away. The weather was great --- it wasn't cold at all compared to New York's. The food was ABSOLUTELY delicious and I am really upset that I couldn't capture a few photos of the dishes since I thought it would be quite rude to stop everyone from eating to take a few photos.

My Chinese roommate brought me to a mini supermarket near the restaurant so that I can get personal hygiene products such as towel, shampoo, body wash, etc. All of these amounted to 180 RMB which is approximately $30 and not as inexpensive as I originally thought it would be.

Today is another orientation day: 8 am breakfast but since I'm on NY time, I would definitely be up (and I am) being that it would be 7 pm over in NY.
