Our day started at 5:30 am since our flight was at 8:30 am. With traffic, security check, and custom, we gave enough time for ourselves so we wouldn’t miss our flight. The flight was around 3 hours so we arrived around 12:30 pm. We left our luggage at the hostel since we couldn’t check in until 2:30 pm. We walked around the Shilin Night Market area and found a place to eat.

After we checked in, our plan for the day was The National Palace Museum and then Shilin Night Market for dinner.

We took the bus to the museum and once we arrived, we split up to browse around. I am not a huge fan of museums so I sat when I found a bench. I was really tired since I slept only 4 hours last night and didn't sleep on the plane. We met up and then walked around the souvenir shop before heading to the bus stop. We rode the bus back to the hostel area to get dinner at the Shilin Night Market.

I've been to the night market at Malaysia and Thailand and cities in China but the Shilin Night Market is the more "legit" experience. We literally got lost in the maze; besides a large range of snacks, there were also vendors selling gift items and hosting games. After leaving the market, we walked back to the hostel and I passed out.
