First Stop: Tokyo Tower

My friend Honore connected me to her good friend Jeremy. Originally, we weren’t going to meet but he was free that morning so we met up. He waited for me at the train station and then we walked to his apartment and drop my things off before we toured around. He lived near the Tokyo Tower so we took a short stroll there. On the way to the tower, we stopped by this shrine to take some photos. I am a tourist after all.

The Tokyo Tower was like a replica of the Eiffel Tower of France except it was orange and it was smaller. We talked a bit about our lives as we got to know each other. He has some interesting plans so I sincerely hope he will succeed.

Next stop: Ueno Park

I still had some time right after I parted with Jeremy so I decided to visit another must-see place: Ueno Park. It was a very beautiful day to simply relax in the park. I found a bench and sat right across from two performers, one performed acrobats, the other sang a few songs. In between, I decided to walk around to see the pond but it was covered in lily pads.

Last stop: Narita International Airport

It was about time. I took the train to the Skyline that takes me to Narita Airport. Once I arrived, I met two old ladies who I was kind enough to help them check in their luggage under my name. I could tell they went on a shopping spree, seeing that they each bought a rice cooker.

Our flight was delayed so we ended up dining together - I dined with the two old ladies, two young women (who also helped check in a bag), and a young man. I found out that the young man graduated from UCLA and would be working soon. After we ate, we waited for a few more hours before we finally boarded the plane back to Shanghai. We all exchanged WeChat so hopefully when I return in the future, I might see them again!
